*SOLID STEEL*

Again, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I was able to take the camera back from my parents, and even with all of the picture-taking that went on over the past few days, we still had a good bit of memory left to store some battles!

I was feeling extremely under the weather today. I woke up with a sore throat and no voice. It then turned into a runny nose and a slight migraine later. I wore my sunglasses for a few hours because any light was killing me. Now, it seems this bug has just flown out of my ears or something because I'm already feeling a lot better. Anyway, while I was sick today, I decided to take my mind off of things and play some PBR.

I'm still test-running this new team, but I decided to record anyway since I haven't in awhile. I only participated in two battles, and both will be uploaded. This is the first. The second will come later.

Some of you may remember a Monica pass from checking out some PBR vids of other players. Monica's was the first pass to be revealed on YouTube by WhiteKhakis over a year ago, and she made her rounds. The Custap Carnivine was probably Monica's most notorious Pokemon, but I actually took him off the pass and will be saving a spot for Carnivine somewhere else. In fact, Lunatone is the only Pokemon who remained on this pass. Even Monica herself received a makeover, and I have to say I like the way she looks now.

Speaking of Lunatone, I chose it for both battles today because I noticed that it was being completely ignored in my initial tests. The other 5 were selected far more often, and today I wanted to give it a chance. It was often ignored on the old team as well. Poor Lunatone. It's a great Pokemon though, and it and Mantine do a super job when it comes to taking out Fire-types (this team's main weakness).

If you can't tell, this new team is very defensive. It is a tough team to break, but anyone can do it as long as they have patience and the right moves. One flaw with having such a heavily defensive team is that none of them hit very hard. My team was completely walled by a Vaporeon while testing it the day it was completed for example, but I have a secret weapon when facing Pokemon like my own. I just didn't select it that time.

I think a lot of my opponents expect Registeel to be the Amnesia/Iron Defense stalling type. It certainly can stall, but with this team...I need all of the power I can get, so it attacks too! I have to thank my good pal LordxDanswich for this Registeel. He traded it to me without even realizing its nature. I knew I'd find a spot for it since it's my favorite Regi (and probably my favorite legendary too, I haven't really thought about that). Most of the outcomes when using this team are like the one seen here.

I chose - Mantine, Registeel, and Lunatone

Tsuyakā chose - Salamence, Snorlax, and Suicune
