I do see some Japanese Pokémon in Wi-Fi, but I don't have a Japanese keyboard, so instead I type in the Japanese names of the Pokémon. This shows my battle with fireblade771, I do very well if you watch this video.
I used: Golduck, Dragonite, Flareon and Alakazam
