Hey Guys, Tiller here!

Today's video is a shortish(?) review of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes.

Putting aside my disappointments of a lack of Platinum's full dex, Battle Frontier, and Distortion World, I tried to take a look at this game without leaning into this.

Ultimately, I feel like it's fine. It's not amazing or anything. What makes a remake good vs just okay is about what the team can take to the next level. Unfortunately, this game does very little to elevate it past the original.

That just means it isn't much better than the originals. It isn't much better. If I toss away the fact that I really can't say this artstyle does anything for me. There was a lot to elevate here and it feels like there wasn't a chance to do so.

The glitches within this game are kind of hilarious though, it's about as buggy if not more buggy than the originals and I really don't have a problem with that.

There's ultimately very little I dislike about BDSP but there's not enough separating it from the originals to be worth a purchase imo. I mean if you haven't played the originals then maybe it's worth it but if you have, I'd say you best spend your money in other places because aside from a potentially slightly difficult endgame/postgame you aren't losing much here.
