It's not a glitch. The map that showed where you caught a specific Pokémon has now been removed entirely from the game. Pokémon GO removed a lot of features to help reduce the issues in the game. This worked well because many issues are gone. But I do miss some of these helpful features.

The map was really handy. I guess it wasn't so handy for some folks though. I heard some guy got caught at his ex girlfriend's house because his current girlfriend was looking through his pokemon and saw where he caught one was at her house. So yeah that seems problematic for sure.
