Hello and welcome back to Game Domain! Today we are going to be bringing you guys a purely speculative video regarding the current state of the main series line of Pokemon games as we move into late 2020. In recent times, we have gotten one Pokemon game a year, with some exceptions when Nintendo skipped a year to work on the next title a bit more. But really for all of last decade, we got a title every year. 2010 gave us HeartGold and SoulSilver, followed by Black and White in 2011, Black2 and White2 in 2012, X and Y in 2013, OmegaRuby and Alpha Sapphire in 2014, nothing in 2015, and then Sun and Moon in 2016, UltraSun and UltraMoon in 2017, Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee in 2018, and of course last November’s generation 8 titles Sword and Shield. This pattern is pretty typical of Pokemon, but it seems we are getting a year off this year in regards to a brand new main series Pokemon title. Nintendo already announced the Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC Expansion Pack, which consists of two expanded Wild Area-like regions and storylines in the form of the Isle of Armor in June, and the Crown Tundra in the fall. In the fall of each year, we normally receive an all new Pokemon title from Game Freak, but this year we will get the second wave of Galarian expansion in place of a new title. What does this mean then? Well first off, Game Freak wants to expand off the success of Sword and Shield and give us fans all new Galarian content to enjoy before we head off into the next adventure.
