I go through New Mauville to capture Magneton. I beat the Fortree City gym, confronted Team Aqua and Magma at Mt. Pyre, watched Groudon escape, and chased Team Aqua after they stole an experimental submarine. Eventually I made it to Mossdeep City.

This game holds a special place in my heart because it created so many core memories when I was a child. Pokémon Emerald was released on May 1st, 2005 in North America. My 7th birthday was in October, and Pokémon Emerald was the only thing that I asked for that year. Because I have nice parents, they got it for me, and after I opened it during my party at an indoor trampoline/inflatables park, I wasn't playing with or paying any attention to anyone else. I was just reading the back of the box and admiring the art on each side. As soon as I got in my mom's car to go home, I popped the cartridge in my Gameboy Advance SP and began my adventure.
