Well, that happened...
A SoulLocke is a variant of the Nuzlocke Challenge, in which two players progress together through the game. Each Pokémon one player catches is bound to the other player's subsequently caught Pokémon. If one dies, so does the other, and vice versa. All other standard Nuzlocke rules apply as well.
Rules
1. The first Pokémon found in an area is the only one you can catch. If it faints or runs away, you are not able to catch anymore Pokémon in that area.
2. If a Pokémon faints in any way, it is dead and must be released or condemned to the PC for the rest of the game.
3. Battle style is set to Shift.
4. Duplicate Pokémon do not count towards your limit of catchable Pokémon in an area. If you run into a Pokémon you've caught before, you can try to catch another one in the same area.
5. When a Pokémon is caught, the next Pokémon caught by your partner on the same route is bound to that Pokémon. If one dies, the other also dies.
6. If a Pokémon dies before it is bonded, then your partner cannot catch a Pokémon on the route that newly lost Pokémon was caught on.
