Pokemon Fire Red Randomizer Nuzlocke - Part 2: Mt. Mewtwo
For being some genetic experiment gone wrong, there sure are a lot of these things.
Nuzlocke Rules:
1. Any Pokemon that faints straight up dies and will be permanently boxed in the PC. (Because I'm a coward)
2. You can only catch the first encounter in each area.
- Any gifted Pokemon are free.
- In-game trades are allowed if I have the required Pokemon.
- Legendaries and other stationary Pokemon can be caught.
- Safari Zone counts as one area.
- Dupes clause: If you encounter a Pokemon you've already caught, you get one more chance to
find one you don't have.
- Shiny clause: If you encounter a shiny, you can catch it anyway.
3. All caught Pokemon must be nicknamed.
4. A randomizer is being used. The routes and trainers have random Pokemon available among other things.
Randomized:
- Move sets and abilities (wonder guard and trapping abilities are banned)
- TM and move tutor compatibility (Every Pokemon can learn every HM)
- Item locations
Randomizer tweaks:
- Move power and base stats are updated to Gen 6. (Still no Phys/Spec split)
- Impossible evolutions (like trade evos) can evolve via level up or similar.
- Minimum catch rate is 80% at low HP to make the early game easier. (40% for legendaries)
- Running shoes indoors because that was always stupid.
