The game takes place one year after the events of Pokémon Poor Edition. During the summer break from Seuld's academy, Dirg and Daig take a vacation and return to Cyanentopoli, where their childhood friend, the protagonist of the game, lives. One day Dirg receives a very special package from Malna, containing a copy of Pokémon Scarso Edition, as a thank you for contributing to its realization. Dirg wants to try it immediately; then calls "Player" and Daig to join him immediately to try the game. The two, although hesitant, enter the game together with Dirg, without being aware of what would happen next.
