Just a quick video to show Pokémon GO and Ingress running on microG. Important notes are that GPS works, and SafetyNet passes. There's more information below:

There's virtually no difference on how these games function between Google Apps and microG with these two games, but GPS locking seems a little bit faster on microG in my case.

microG is a free and open-source re-implementation of Google's proprietary Android user space apps and libraries. More info: https://microg.org

The device used is a Nexus 6 running crDroid. More info below:

ROM: crDroidAndroid-7.1.2-20170622-shamu-v3.4
Kernel: sigmaKernel_shamu_v7.1
Magisk: Magisk-v13.0(54e6a79)

UnifiedNlp: v1.6.8 (GitHub)
microG Services Core: 0.2.4-103-gd9e86d9 (F-Droid)
microG Services Framework: v0.1.0 (F-Droid)
microG DroidGuard Helper: 0.1.0-10-gf64bf69 (F-Droid)

MozillaNlpBackend: 1.3.2 (F-Droid)
NominatimNlpBackend: 1.2.2 (F-Droid)

FakeStore: 0.0.2 (F-Droid)
Yalp Store: 0.17 (F-Droid)

Ingress: 1.119.0 (Yalp Store)
Pokemon GO: 0.67.1 (APKMirror)

TLDR: Pokemon GO and Ingress can run without Google apps present.
