This shows the process of flashing a custom BIOS to a Acer laptop through hardware-means.
I'm using a Raspberry Pi running Raspbian. I have a Pomona 5250 SOIC clip attached to the Pi over the GPIO pins, and I'm using flashrom to flash a custom BIOS directly to the BIOS chip on my laptop's motherboard.
Here is the process that led to this: https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Request-Acer-Aspire-VN7-572G
The laptop is a Acer Aspire V Nitro (VN7-572G). The BIOS chip is a MX25L6405D.
