Did you know that Pokemon has finally broken one of their longest running traditions? For 26 years, every single professor of a Pokemon region has been named after either a tree, plant or shrub. Even the less obvious ones like Sonia and Laventon can be connected to both the Sandersonia and the English Lavender respectively. However, all of that has changed now with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. For the two professors have no connection to plants or trees. Instead, Professor Sada’s name is based on “Pasada”, which is Spanish for Past, whereas Professor Turo’s name is based on “Futuro”, which is Spanish for you guessed it, the future.
