Welcome to The Basement, let's catch MORE Pokémon the FAST, EASY way in Pokémon GO!

So what you're looking at is a LURE MODULE that's been added to a PokéStop. That means that all of the Pokémon in the area are being attracted to that specific PokéStop, and it's like incense that you use for yourself, except this is available to everybody who is close enough to the PokéStop.

So the way that you use this: you have to get a Lure Module. You can spend real money to get some coins and buy a Lure Module, otherwise you can be awarded Lure Modules for leveling up your character. Next, you get within distance of the PokéStop, activate your Lure Module, and BAM! it's going - you've got little pink flowers. You can just hang out there, and Pokémon are going to come to you so you don't have to be active like all of those other crazy trainers who are running around trying to get their eggs to hatch.

The Christian Daily site has some good info:

The Lure Modules can be obtained in two ways. Either you buy them from the shops or you receive them from some level-ups. The Lure Modules are applicable to every Pokémon Trainer within the vicinity, which can be used at PokéStops. When in use, the module will attract Pokémons for a duration of 30 minutes.

Furthermore, the Lure Modules promote team work. Other people within the PokéStop vicinity can also enjoy the effect of the lure module. To determine if there is a lure module present around a certain PokéStop, a cloud of pink with white tiny particles will be floating around the PokéStop, the Bustle reported.

To start gathering Pokémons using a lure module, the gamer should first get PokéCoins. Segmentnext detailed that the Lure Modules can be purchased from the in-game Poké Shop in the form of PokéCoins. After purchasing, the gamer may attach these PokéCoins to a particular PokéStop to start attracting a great number of Pokémons.

Prior to using the module, the gamer should first check the availability of the module in his inventory. To verify, go to the Map, tick on the PokéBall, then click on Items, and find Lure Modules from the list, then tick it to activate.

To start placing the lure module on the chosen PokéStop, open the Map in "Pokémon Go" and just hit on your desired nearby PokéStop. After choosing the PokéStop, look for your Lure Module slot, which is the small white icon above the circular disc.

Tap on your Lure Module slot and then tap on the PokéStop module located at the bottom part of the screen. Then tap on the Lure Module to activate and start attracting Pokémons.
