There is a lot of stuff happening in Pokémon Square, first up, Mr. Mime tells us of some suspicious Pokémon at Whiscash Pond, those two being Medicham and Ekans of Team Meanies, who talk about a dungeon of wishes. We also learn from Alakazam about a storm in the sea and suggests we visit the three Legendary Birds at their camp, and we explore a 50 floor dungeon filled with Rock and Ground-type Pokémon.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

After completing Pitfall Valley, you will find Mr. Mime outside of your Rescue Team Base, and it will tell you about some suspicious Pokémon at Whiscash Pond, and you can find Medicham and Ekans. You will need to have completed Pitfall Valley in order to activate this scene, and I think you need to have completed Stormy Sea as well, because Alakazam will also have a request for you, and you have to visit Legendary Island, and you must have recruited Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in order to gain access to Silver Trench, and since that scene takes up a day, you will find Phanpy outside of the base, and he will tell you the same thing Mr. Mime said about Ekans and Medicham, and you have to go to Whiscash Pond and find them again. I believe those must be the same Mr. Mime and Phanpy from back when Shiftry gathered a bunch of Rescue Teams back when Team ACT never returned from Magma Cavern.
Now for the dungeon of this video, Southern Cavern is unlocked when you have the Boulder Cave Camp, and I decided to evolve my Poliwag all the way up to Politoed and bring it along, and Hydro Pump is very good in this game. Even though I can choose who to evolve Poliwhirl into, I decided to go with Politoed, as I do like Politoed a bit more than Poliwrath.
Southern Cavern is a 50 floor dungeon, and you can encounter Geodude, Seedot, Diglett, Cubone, Phanpy, Voltorb, Nidoking, Flygon, Baltoy, Gligar, Larvitar, Ariados, Dugtrio, Marowak, Graveler, Donphan, Vibrava, Rhyhorn, Pupitar, Golem, Onix, and Rhydon, so there is a lot of Rock and Ground-type Pokémon in Southern Cavern.
The nice thing about having Petal Blizzard on Venusaur is that it can clear out a room of Pokémon, and it is very useful in Monster Houses, and this can be a great place to try and recruit some Ground and Rock-type Pokémon. Speaking of Monster Houses, some of the Pokémon in this dungeon can use Earthquake, and it is a dangerous move as it can hit an entire room of Pokémon, and if the opponent gets a KO, they can go into their Awakened form, so they are much more powerful when they are Awakened, but at least none of the Pokémon encountered in Southern Cavern are capable of Mega Evolution, even though Flygon was planned to have a Mega Evolution in Gen 6, but it ended up getting cut in development.
There is a strong foe in Southern Cavern, that Pokémon is Shuckle, and there is a chance of encountering a Shiny Shuckle. Shuckle is a very defensive Pokémon, so it can be very tough to take down, and it can some very disruptive moves like Bug Bite and Rollout, and it can use Shell Smash to boost its offenses and movement speed, so you do not want to mess around with it. If you can recruit a Shiny Shuckle, you can use stat boosting drinks like Protein and Calcium to boost Shuckle's Attack and Special Attack stats, and it can be a good fighter, as it can learn moves like Sludge Bomb, Gyro Ball, and a few others, and it can also be a good supporter with moves like Safeguard, but it has a very limited movepool. Shuckle can get Earth Power as a Tutor move, so if you can give Shuckle some Special Attack boosts, it can be a fearsome fighter, and it can use Helping Hand to support its teammates. It is surprising how a Pokémon that is strictly a defensive wall in the main series games can be a great fighter in the Mystery Dungeon games, but then again you could try using something like Alakazam as a Physical attacker if you give it some Attack boosts.
