Caterpie has appeared at our base, his friend Metapod has disappeared in Sinister Woods, and we must save Metapod before Gengar and his team, so this is some serious competition. Sinister Woods has a bunch of Bug and Grass-type Pokémon, so it is best to get prepared.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Metapod has gone missing, and Sinister Woods is our next dungeon, and that Gengar and his team are competing against us in rescuing Metapod. Sinister Woods has some Pokémon, the primary types being Bug and Grass, and there are some Normal-types as well.
The following Pokémon you can encounter in this dungeon include Oddish, Swinub, Sudowoodo, Sunflora, Sentret, Silcoon, Cascoon, Shroomish, Linoone, Ledyba, Hoothoot, Scyther, Slakoth, and Exeggutor. A new thing in this dungeon is that there is a chance of finding a fainted Pokémon, if you give it an Apple, that Pokémon will join your team, and they will always have a Rare Quality. The maximum Pokémon you can have with you is 8, so that will help out greatly, specially in the fight with Team Meanies at the end.
There are some other Pokémon that you can encounter, if you have a high enough Rescue Team Rank, Bonsly will start appearing in Sinister Woods, it does make sense as you can find its evolved form Sudowoodo in this dungeon.
These Pokémon do have some tough moves, so unless you bring along a Flying or Psychic-type, the Grass-types can be very rough for any Water-types you have. Oddish can use Sweet Scent to decrease your hunger meter, Swinub has Powder Snow to try and freeze you, Sudowoodo can be a tough opponent as it can learn Wood Hammer, and that most is devastating on anything weak to it. Sunflora can use Flower Shield to boost the Defense of all Grass-types in the same room as it, and it can use Grass Whistle. Sentret can use Defense Curl, which can make it tough to beat with Physical attackers, Silcoon and Cascoon aren't too threatening, but they can take a while with Physical hits, Shroomish can inflict status conditions with Stun Spore and Leech Seed, and it can have Effect Spore. Linoone is a very powerful opponent at this point in the game, as it can use Fury Swipes and Play Rough, and its Rototiller can boost the Attack and Special Attack of all Grass-types in the same room, Ledyba can be a tough foe, as you will always find Ledyba in groups of four, and they can use Supersonic. Hoothoot has Hypnosis, and if you get hit by Hypnosis while sleeping, it will inflict the Puppet status, so Hoothoot will take control of you, and you end up using items, which you don't have control of. Scyther is a strong opponent, it can use Quick Attack and Vacuum Wave, which are boosted by Technician, and it can boost its critical hit rate with Focus Energy. Slakoth are usually found sleeping, and if you go near one, there is a chance that you will be affected by the effects of Yawn, so after a few turns, you can fall asleep, the nice thing is that Slakoth has Truant, so if Slakoth uses an attack, it cannot move for a few turns. Then there is Exeggutor, this is a tough opponent, as it can use some powerful moves like Seed Bomb, Stomp, and Barrage, and it also knows Hypnosis.
This dungeon has 12 floors, and at the end is a fight with Team Meanies, and they are tough, so if you have up to 8 Pokémon with you, you should be able to do it, as Team Meanies are only three Pokémon. Gengar is a tricky foe, as he can use Hypnosis and Night Shade, and as he is the leader, he is a lot tougher than the other two. Medicham can boost her Attack with Meditate and inflict heavy damage with Zen Headbutt, and this can be dangerous as Medicham has Pure Power to boost the power of her Physical attacks, I don't think I have ever seen Medicham use any of the Elemental Punches in this game, and for Ekans, he has Wrap and Poison Sting, and I believe he has Glare at this point, but he tends to use Wrap for most of the fight.
After that tough fight with Team Meanies, we rescue Metapod and we don't get a reward, but at least we helped Caterpie out, and then the next day there will be another story event.
If you revisit Sinister Woods, there is a strong for this dungeon, that Pokémon is Ampharos, and it can use some powerful moves like Zap Cannon, Dragon Pulse, Electro Ball, Fire Punch, and many others. You can also find Ampharos as a Shiny Pokémon in this dungeon, so that is a rare chance of finding it.
