This segment shows the power of red bar as I tried to see how much time I would save by skipping the heal zone. I needed to fight an extra battle with Rock Slide, but combining this with red bar the next battles would only save a few seconds. I also couldn't OHKO the Marowak ghost with Bubblebeam, risking it to use Bone Club.
Since Nidoking no longer has Thrash, I needed to use Thunderbolt to defeat the Rocket Grunts and the middle one is still crushed by Horn Drill. I obtained the Poké Flute and I healed up in Celadon City to set a Dig point. I picked up three Elixers this segment and I saved before the Arbok Rocket.

Saved at 1:11 with a L36 Nidoking.
