8The Teal Mask is right around the corner, so I’d like to make a few predictions, though it concerns both parts of The Secret of Area Zero:
1. Kieran is a lot stronger than he thinks he is. More specifically, his real talents are in double battles, but he’s been subjecting his doubles-focused Dipplin to single battles in Kitakami.
2. The Loyal Trio are the real bad guys, and Ogerpon was framed. Their weapons are poisonous chains, not exactly things heroes would wield, and Ogerpon and a curious, innocent look behind that mask.
3. The bullies chased out of Naranja Academy and Uva Academy are now at Blueberry Academy. That is the source of Kieran’s self-esteem problems.
4. The opalescent cubes around the Terarium are Area Zero crystals, carved into cubes and mined out of Area Zero. This would mean Blueberry has a direct means to get to Area Zero.
In about a week’s time, we’ll see if some of these are right, and in a few months’ time, we’ll know about the rest of them are too.

With the Mighty Mewtwo Showdown event still going on as of the time this video goes up, you can bet there are people playing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet who just can’t wait to battle with them. After all, with the help of three other people, they had just been given a guaranteed catch of the very first Pokémon powerful enough to be banned at official events (even if said events at the time were relatively low-key and poorly promoted). Demetrius’s profile picture is even of Mewtwo! That’s how excited they are about getting to battle with one.
Though both Mew and Mewtwo were adjusted for head-to-head battling rather than the raids, as is evident from the moves not being the standard Mew builds used for the Tera Raid Battle nor the Moves Mewtwo comes with, carelessness can still very much hold them back. As a result, this felt like those Pokémon Battle Revolution matches way back when, just with modern-day Pokémon involved in it. (I am still quite fond of the colosseums for Pokémon Battle Revolution. Instead, we’re here in this boring, sterile looking place. I think a lot of fighting game spectators would agree that these plain tiled rooms get real boring real fast.)
