To challenge this final boss, all you need to do is challenge the Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave. When you come back, your rival will show up and you'll realize he's got serious. My team gets countered by Mewtwo, which means the only way I could win is by switching left and right.

I may do Blaze Black 2/Volt White 2 sometime in the future, but for now I'll give it a rest (as the post-game of Storm Silver was annoyingly tedious)
