What’s up, everyone! It’s Tim from TimPlaysAGame. Today we have some exciting news about Pokémon Sun & Moon. A new trailer was released by the Pokémon Company today detailing information about the two legendary Pokemon in each game, the Alola region, the characters in the game, and even a new aspect to your Pokedex.

Let’s talk about the legendary Pokemon. First, we learned that the legendary Pokemon for Pokemon Sun is officially named Solgaleo. Solgaleo is a Psychic and Steel type Pokemon with the abilitiy Full Metal Body. Full Metal Body acts in a way similar to the Clear Body ability where it’s stats cannot be lowered. Solgaleo also demonstrated its attack called Sunsteel Strike. This attack appears to be a Steel-type attack, but there is no confirmation of this.

Second, we learned that the legendary Pokemon for Pokemon Moon is officially named Lunala. Lunala is a Psychic and Ghost type Pokemon with the ability Shadow Shield. No details were given about the Shadow Shield ability. Lunala did demonstrate its attack called Moongeist Beam. This attack appears to be a Ghost-type attack, but there is also no confirmation of this.

Moving on, we also learned some information about the Alola region. It turns out that the Alola region is made of four islands in close proximity to each other. There do not appear to be any bridges or land connecting the islands, so players may have to use the Surf ability to traverse between islands.

We also learned that you will be able to customize your character initially at the beginning of the game by selecting from 8 models (4 boys and 4 girls) with varying skin and hair color. It remains to be seen whether or not you can customize your character’s gear or hairstyle like in Pokemon X & Y. It was confirmed that the name of the professor in this game is Professor Kukui. We also learned about a new character named Lillie who is said to be Kukui’s mysterious assistant. We will have to wait and see what kind of mystery surrounds this new character. We also learned that your friend/rival character in this game is officially name Hau.

One more interesting bit of news that we learned in today’s trailer is about your Pokedex in this game. It turns out that there is a Rotom in your Pokedex. This is completely intentional as the Pokedex was designed to be a body for the Rotom. There were no further details about if this Pokedex will have any new features or is this is a new form for Rotom.

The video trailer ends with a reminder that the release date for Pokemon Sun & Moon will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on November 18, 2016.
