For the record, no, this is not a Gigantamax Grimmsnarl. I don't have one, at least not yet, and the Wi-Fi competitions ban Gigantamax, so I can't have it on a team like this anyway. Honestly, I would've preferred a Gigantamax Grimmsnarl, as there is a lot of potential for G-Max Snooze, especially in a double battling pick-4 format. G-Max Snooze damages only one opponent, but it puts both of them in the Yawn state, meaning they both fall asleep at the end of the next turn. Some peopleprefer regular Dynamax Grimmsnarl and Max Darkness, but since mine is a physical attacker, Max Darkness lowering Special Defense isn't going to be that useful for me.

Opponent: max (25)
Stadium: Default Stadium
Music: Hop 2
My Pokémon: Perserker, Grimmsnarl, Arctovish, Eldegoss
Opponent's Pokémon: Pelipper, Ludicolo, Milotic, Barraskewda

I am not even going to bother typing out those Chinese names, because it'll be way too hard to look up on the character map. Suffice to say, though, that this is a rain team, and I figured Ludicolo has Swift Swim.

Here is a perfect example of the sort of match this testing is for. I actually underestimated Perrserker's power--had I known U-Turn was going to KO Ludicolo like that, I would've saved Grimmsnarl's Trick for later...though I'm not sure if they would've saved Barraskewda for last like what happened here, considering a fast glass cannon like Barraskewda--also with Swift Swim--would've been the perfect target.

Barraskewda, the only new Pokémon on this team, is incredibly fast (base Speed 136, faster than Mega Lopunny) and incredibly strong (base Attack 123, just under Bisharp). Makes sense for a Pokémon based on the barracuda but also a torpedo. Barraskewda also gets Swift Swim to bolster that Speed to ridiculous amounts, which I think it actually needed going up against my Pokémon, as I think Eldegoss would've eventually slowed Barraskewda down such that it wouldn't go first otherwise. But what makes it truly one of the most fearsome Pokémon with a lot of unrealized potential is the sheer variety of strong moves it has of different types. In addition to Liquidation for its STAB, this was also packed with Poison Jab (when became Max Ooze) and Close Combat (which became Max Knuckle).Barraskewda can also learn stuff like Drill Run, Psychic Fangs, and Crunch.

That's the other thing about testing this team out--I accounted for a lot of go-to Pokémon used in the metagame at the moment, but Barraskewda was not one of them, as I hadn't heard much talk about this guy ever since Sword and Shield came out. It's impossible for a team to successfully counter every since Pokémon, but I should revise this team to better deal with this fish.
