Here we have Gordie and full disclaimer in Shield you fight his mother Melony.

Gordie is probably the most dangerous boss in the base game. No I'm not kidding if you aren't careful he'll sweep your entire team faster than you can say "late game rock gym leader."

He opens up with a barbaracle which you want to kill ASAP because this thing is a crit seeker and loves to tear through your team even when you resist water.

After that he likes to throw out Stonjurner who has a lot of physical bulk but his special defense is pretty mediocre. He's really just hear to throw out stealth rocks and what's really dumb is his move that swaps Defense and special defense so he made it easy to take him out.

Then he sends out shuckle which has a lot of defense and can wear you down but he's not very strong on the offense side.

Finally he caps off with Coalossal, this games golem equivalent I suppose. It's got high attack and defense and has two of the best attacking types in the game. While water murders the fire rock magcargo I advise against using it on Mt St Helens over here. While it will be super effective this boss has enough health to tank water hits which will only power up steam engine. It also has a signature move with the ability to cause trap damage and he can also cause a sandstorm which buffs all rock types physical defense.

Overall Gordie shouldn't be too bad but you do need to take him seriously or you just might end up on the embarrassing end of a loss
