Pokemon Sword Boss 8: Gym Leader Milo
1Our first gym leader and... he's not that bad.
On one hand Milo is the highest leveled first Gym leader in the series and fights with a fully evolved pokemon.
On the other hand his Gossifleur may as well be a wasted slot as it's just a weaker version of eldegoss, seriously why does he not use a bounsweet or Grookey or something else I don't know.
This boss will be your introduction to dynamax. A neat enough gimmick that combines both Z moves and megas together but any pokemon can do it. Personally I kind of like it in the story mode setting but personally wish they would have had megas as another option for competitive where you'd have to choose between a full time buff that lasts all fight but takes your item slot or an extreme buff that only lasts 3 turns.
ANYWAYS gym leaders in this game are one of two ways. A fair challenge to test your skills or press A to win. Milo is a press A to win. Though I tried to add some variety by swapping things up.
