This is probably a fan favorite gym leader and I fully understand why, although personally she's probably 3rd or 4th for me.

Nessa can be a much more difficult boss fight than Milo was and there is some actual expectations for the player here... or Thwackey can just one shot all her mons.

ANYWAYS my plan was to try and have vulpix cause a drought to get rid of her water weakness then spam energyball but I was not expecting to get outsped by drednaw.

The thing is what holds this fight back is it being still early game. Goldeen isn't very dangerous in general, Arrokuda is basically a Magikarp with a slightly larger moveset, and her Ace is Drednaw which while strong is quad weak to grass and isn't immune to electric.

Don't feel too bad though you'll get to see her full potential later in the game because this game does a lot with its gym leaders.

Also personally I feel like the gym leader boss theme fits Nessa the best out of the 8 gym leaders.
