Back to Wyndon again, and we learn that Rose Tower has been reconstructed into the Battle Tower, so I take on this 1000 foot tower and see what tough opponents await.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Before going to Wyndon, I check out some past areas, and there is a secret scene with Marnie in the Budew Drop Inn, and Hop has become Sonia's assistant.
We learn that the Battle Tower was formally known as Rose Tower, and there are a lot of things there, first up is a new mechanic added to this game, you can use Mints to change the stat growth of you Pokémon as if that Pokémon were to have that Nature, so it doesn't really change the Nature, just the stat growths. In the shop, you can buy items for BP, most of which are Battle Items, like the Choice Items, Life Orb, Focus Sash, and some new items, including a Room Service, which decreases Speed in Trick Room, Eject Pack forces you to switch out if any of your stats are lowered, and Blunder Policy boosts your Speed if you miss due to low Accuracy.
If you talk to a League Staff with Type: Null, you can obtain it. Type: Null is a Pokémon that originated from the Alola Region, it has 95 in all stats except for its Speed, which is below average, Type: Null is also usable with the Eviolite. To evolve it, it will need high enough Friendship, but the only stat that gets boosted upon evolution is its Speed. When it evolves into Silvally, it can use the memory disks to change its type due to its RKS System, so it is like Arceus, but with lower stats. Its signature move, Multi-Attack got buffed in this game to base 120 Power, at least that boosts Silvally's viability, because it was a bit underwhelming in Gen 7 competitive battling. Silvally has a wide movepool, it can either be a Physical or Special attacker, and it can learn Draco Meteor if it has a Dragon Memory, and Steel Beam if it has a Steel Memory, Silvally is a Pokémon that you can do many things with.
Hyper Training is back, if you have a Level 100 Pokémon, you can have maximum IVs thanks to Bottle Caps. You can also rent five different teams, three are for Single Battles, and two are for Double Battles. I will go over each team.
Basic Team:
Rillaboom: Drum Beating, Wood Hammer, Superpower, High Horsepower (Sitrus Berry)
Cinderace: Pyro Ball, Zen Headbutt, Gunk Shot, Iron Head (Life Orb)
Inteleon: Snipe Shot, Hydro Pump, Blizzard, Shadow Ball (Blunder Policy)
Gengar: Shadow Ball, Sludge Wave, Dazzling Gleam, Destiny Bond (Focus Sash)
Haxorus: Outrage, Earthquake, Poison Jab, Dragon Dance (Lum Berry)
Togekiss: Air Slash, Dazzling Gleam, Flamethrower, Nasty Plot (Expert Belt)
This is your basic team of the starters, as well as some popular competitive Pokémon, so this is kind of to get you started.

Skill Team:
Gyarados: Waterfall, Ice Fang, Earthquake, Dragon Dance (Wacan Berry)
Kommo-o: Clanging Scales, Flash Cannon, Flamethrower, Clangorous Soul (Sitrus Berry)
Falinks: No Retreat, Megahorn, Close Combat, Throat Chop (Focus Sash)
Tyranitar: Stone Edge, Crunch, Low Kick, Dragon Dance (Chople Berry)
Duraludon: Stealth Rock, Light Screen, Reflect, Steel Beam (Light Clay)
Grimmsnarl: Darkest Lariat, Spirit Break, Drain Punch, Bulk Up (Leftovers)
These Pokémon have moves that boost stats, and Kommo-o has a new signature move called Clangorous Soul, which is based on its Z-Move Clangorous Soulblaze, except it cuts Kommo-o's HP instead of damaging its opponents to boost its stats. Duraludon has excellent support with Reflect and Light Screen.

Tough Team:
Snorlax: Double-Edge, Earthquake, Curse, Recycle (Sitrus Berry)
Dragapult: Dragon Darts, Phantom Force, Draco Meteor, U-turn (White Herb)
Mimikyu: Shadow Claw, Play Rough, Swords Dance, Shadow Sneak (Life Orb)
Rotom-Heat: Overheat, Volt Switch, Will-O-Wisp, Trick (Choice Scarf)
Hippowdon: Earthquake, Ice Fang, Yawn, Slack Off (Rocky Helmet)
Aegislash: Shadow Ball, Shadow Sneak, King's Shield, Brick Break (Leftovers)
This team has a lot of strategy to it, like Snorlax's Curse, Rotom's Trick, Aegislash's King's Shield and many others. Sometimes these moves can help you in a tough fight.

All of these Pokémon have moves that can be useful in competitive battling, and there is a boss trainer in the Battle Tower, you can challenge Leon, and he will always use Charizard and Gigantamax it, he uses two or three Pokémon at random out of the following Pokémon:
Rhyperior, Seismitoad, Haxorus, Aegislash, Rillaboom, Cinderace, Inteleon, Mr. Rime, Dragapult

After beating Leon, you will boost your rank in the Battle Tower, as well as obtain Leon's Rare League Card.
I also like the battle music for the Battle Tower, and from what I have heard, it was composed by Toby Fox, who was known for doing Undertale music, so good to see one of his composed songs in a Pokémon game.
