As it is currently, this will only work on Game Boy Color (not Game Boy Advance or regular/pocket Game Boy) because other Game Boys lack the infrared port :(. I don't know how it works on 3DS Virtual Console yet.

You can also use another infrared source, in this case my remote control happened to work.

After the battle ends, D36D will be reset to the normal map script so you'll need to set it back to 7FDA. You can also modify 3E15EA58D0C9 to add your own code for what happens when it finds a signal.
