Rules:
- Only use unevolved Pokemon to beat the boss fights
- Don't use Pokemon that don't evolve at all such as Onix, Snorlax, Mr. Mime, etc.
- You may only use one Pokemon of the same species.

Argh, this is THE most annoying battle of the game under these conditions, and there's one very good reason why; Aerodactyl. It is much faster than any unevolved Pokemon, which is bearable enough, but when he uses Hyper Beam and faints your Pokemon, (very likely) he won't actually have to take a turn to recover! Add to the fact that the CPU Pokemon have unlimited PP in generation 1 and I was nearly crapping myself. He also seems to keep getting criticals when he uses the weaker attacks and fainting my Pokemon anyway. The other Pokemon aren't as bad, but they have good enough moves and stats to make it difficult to set up with X items and get rid of Aerodactyl. Good job I had those 5 X Defends, but I should have bought more.
