At last, the arcade version of Pole Position is here. Made in 1982, this game is arguably the most important racing game ever made and is actually the first ever 16-bit arcade. One of Namco's greats during the golden age and one of my favorites. It is based on the real life Formula One racing series, and the track is the Fuji Speedway.

However, the video did not go as planned; Because what I was playing is literally the original arcade ROM and the Japanese version, I had no idea the steering controls were very difficult to handle (because the cabinet used a steering wheel and is a simulation game), so it is easy to crash. And for some odd reason, probably from the emulator, I cannot go full speed to over 200 mph when on High gear, making me unable to last long. I am also unable to cheat. I tried the game three times. Pretty sad because I can beat the Atari 2600 version or other ports of the actual arcade no problem...
