I set up the Polish Lavvu tent up on what appeared to be a very good location, prior to the heavy rain fall coming. However, once inside the tent I realized that the Lavvu does do a pretty good job and keeping Heavy Rain Down Fall out.

However, what happened next was that I realized that I had set the tent up in the wrong spot as the spot I picked was a little bit of a flood plane, as the ground was getting soggier by the minute.

I had no choice and was forced to pack up and move to a new location, this time around I wanted to keep the Lavvu off the ground. So I basically levitated it in mid air. this done a cracking job of keeping the rain off me, whilst at the same time I could look around the entire woodland that it was that I was sleeping in.

I have to admit I do like the Levitating style approach to the Lavvu allot and I think that I should get a little seat to go in there for next time?

Any way from this night I then have realized that I am starting to take this kind of bush craft more serious now.... which is why I now need to invest in some new kit, such as a fold up spade, bush craft knife etc....

PS: The wood land sticks to the Polish Lavvu big time when it is wet, just so you know :)
