Polynerdic Play Test: Redfall
0No doubt about it, Redfall is a very divisive game.
Made by the same folks who made Dishonored, Prey and Deathloop, many folks had high expectations for this game. Many other folks were watching closely as this was going to be Microsoft's first $70 first party exclusive.
Both those groups are very disappointed.
Where do I stand? Well I've been vocal about how Dishonored and the like never really stuck with me for a variety of reasons and I was just hoping for a fun game about killing vampires, so my expectations weren't absurdly high.
And yet I find myself still disappointed with the game.
I don't hate it. But I'm not eager to ever pick it up and play it again.
It's just kind of a game that exists.
It's divisive because some people are behaving like it's the worst game to ever be made while others are in the same camp as I and surprisingly a smaller number of folk exist that actually seem quite happy with Arkane's Left 4 Dead meets Destiny but with zombies game.
