0I've always had a soft spot in my heart for side scrolling beat 'em ups. From classics like Double Dragon and Final Fight to the TMNT, Simpsons and X-men games, I remember pumping many a quarter into those machines in my local arcades, laundromats and pizza joints, playing until the last quarter is gone.
This game captures that feeling incredibly well.
Partially because it is a solid side scrolling brawler but also because the game has permadeath, meaning if you don't have the cash to plunk down on revives or haven't picked up the necessary token to continue after death the game is over.
And I mean OVER.
It deletes your save.
