Notes:
Far more advanced than the first video.. 16 starts to show how much room there is in Portal to bypass content, but 17 and 18 are true titans of speed running.
17's ball catcher was a complete nightmare due to the somewhat random nature of bouncing a ball on a sphere, fun ;) the start of the map itself is challenging to do at speed and i still didn't manage it properly on this run.
18 though, wow.. what a map.. the speed you can get racing to the turret room is really satisfying, and then to do that fling upto the button with the box still held was a challenge indeed. Took a lot of time and even more patience to do that consistantly considering the turrets love to distract your fall, which has to be 100% perfect from the initial jump off the ledge, to the angle you hit the portal.

The challenge (and about 40 cigs) kept me going through this last video.. i allowed myself some minor slow down, but anything too noticeable wasn't gonna be used. As such, it took countless failed recordings and many hours, but was worth it. I'd lie if I said I didn't get frustrated at times (especially on chamber 17 and chamber 18's cube fling), but at no point was it not fun. Fantastic game.
