Splitgate finally entered open beta with crossplay that actually works well, so I decided to get back into it after playing in a few early alphas. As many people have pointed out already, the queue times are always unreasonably long at the moment, but the gameplay is pretty good once you get to play it. Everything surrounding the gameplay is mediocre at best though, such as the cosmetic system that draws from games like Valorant and Overwatch in super consumer-unfriendly ways. On top of that, the cosmetics themselves are mostly either ugly or uninspired, so they seem to not be worth the already unreasonable prices.
