I accidentally discovered this during my initial playthrough. The method used in the video wasn't the same one I did the first time. I think I bugged the future timeline's stairs by accident and just had the idea of using the cube to get up onto the single floating platform after getting stumped for a few minutes. What is shown in this video is me forcing the bug to occur using the famous triple laser glitch technique from Portal 2 (https://youtu.be/NkqGEjATjKU). The official walkthrough of the game (https://youtu.be/Bo3bMv0EkqM) as well as other videos solved the puzzle in a completely different way than what I did, so 99% sure a bugged solution that should be patched in a later update.
