Post-roll ads are going to be bundled with pre-rolls starting in November, taking away control from the creator and subjecting the viewers to even more ads—this presents a notable problem to those who use ASMR to go to sleep. The changes will make it so sometimes a vid might have pre-rolls only, post-rolls only, or perhaps both, but the creator gets no say on where they go. This has a huge impact on people that don't want, can't afford, or otherwise do not have access to YouTube Premium. This is a huge and sucky change, but with some help from the community, we've come up with a few different solutions to help navigate this change. I came up with some pros & cons for each, **it's not comprehensive however**, it's just what I could think of in a short amount of time.
None of these are perfect, a lot of them cost money, but this is what we've got so far until something better comes along. I'm not a reporter or giving an essay, so I'm going to be a biased, frustrated three dimensional person who uses personal anecdotes sometimes and not the usual 2D creator thing adopted in regular videos.
