Neurophysical Assessment—Cranial Nerves, Sensation, Cognition, & Motor Testing 🩺 ASMR Soft Spoken RP
675From testing your eyes' pursuits & saccades, your face and limbs for touch, soft/sharp, and vibratory perception, muscles for tone and functional strength, memory, cognition, and coordination. There are two informal parts: the cognition & cranial nerve exam and motor & sensory exam. We've got some cool tools, like the 128Hz tuning fork (verrrryyyy low), the Trömner hammer, and the little brush/metal tip to test your soft/sharp sense. All in all, a long and relaxing neurological and physical examination.

The term 'neurophysical' is from me misreading 'neurophysiological'. Since this is ASMR and none of this is real anyway, I ran with it. It's part neuro exam, part physical exam, hence neurophysical.

From Oxford Languages: "a feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus, often a particular sound. 'ASMR is triggered by things like whispering voices, paper tearing, and scalp massage.'"
