🇺🇸 Poder Brasil | Sorocaba Mayor Rodrigo Manga (Republicanos-SP) declared himself to be "social right." He said this is what allows him to support former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and work alongside the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) for the benefit of the municipality in the interior of São Paulo.
In an interview with Poder360, the mayor stated that his ideology differs from that of the PT (Workers' Party), but that he maintains a respectful stance. In his opinion, this has allowed him to establish partnerships with the federal government. He cited the internationalization of Sorocaba Airport and his support for Bolsonaro in the last two elections.
"The left only thinks about social projects, but not about economic development. The right only thinks about economic development, but not about those who need it most," Manga stated. For him, the country's priority is "creating jobs for people and improving their quality of life."
