59Okay, so our history of Sonic racing games isn't exactly positive. Sonic R was spotty at best, and while Sonic Drift 2 was a tepid improvement over its original title, said game almost made Rick and John get a divorce mid-episode. So let's see if Sumo Digital's Team Sonic Racing has what it takes to make Sonic feel fun on the track.

Team Sonic Racing is an upcoming kart racing video game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is being developed by Sumo Digital and will be published by Sega for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows in late 2018.
Team Sonic Racing is a kart racing video game featuring 15 characters from the cast of the Sonic the Hedgehog series competing in races in sports cars. 12 characters compete at once, and the game supports 12 player online multiplayer and four player local multiplayer races. The focus is on team-based gameplay, with four teams of three characters racing at a time. Outside of the standard Grand Prix, Time Attack, Exhibition modes, the game will also feature a "Team Adventure" mode. Vehicles will have customization options as well.
