So hey i can actually emulate this game, while the guitar doesn't ship to my country, i can still torture myself to this.

I had honest fun with Rock Revolution, there are things it actually does well and its a fun experience, this however isn't, at best the Comic stories are kind of charming if dumb, and setlist is great and fun.

But the game asks too much of me, campaing structure leads to a lot of song repeats [you chose songs based on symbol] and when the game gives you more songs it chops them up some more [along with the song symbol there are bars] While its a cool idea the shit RNG can lead you to having the same symbol, or a few songs are most beneficial to multiple situations [i replayed Plush and Crossroads too many times]

Highway is vertical and it fucking sucks, its same as Rock Revolution, strumming is honestly kinda better than angled but Hopos are a nightmare, though ill be honest with notes being way more lit up its actually quite readable [except in the messiest of sections like Retribtuion] but whoever fucking put a giant flash effect on perfect hits? Its easier to see if you are hitting late or early with the after circles that appear afther the sparks or flashes.

Which brings me to the timing, its Wide, but the game gives you little points, no combo increase or Mojo increase [star power] if you don't hit perfect, and perfect window is tiny. Timing is aprox the lenght of that bar at bottom, and the perfect window is bassicaly that tiny circle, im pretty sure the timing for that is tighter than GH1 fast strumming, maybe its an overstatement but its very inconsistent for me to get Perfect hits [highest ive got was 69%, nice]

Strumming is very dumb, you get 1 free overstrum,
every
single
note
The second overstrum is the one that will lower combo [it doesn't even break Matthews's streak ability until you overstrum a second time]
Now on slower sections if you try to spam strum it will lead you to losing combo, but on fast sections [think of Crack the Skye strumming or Retribution riff] you can just go at it, as long as you Fret the right note in aprox the right time it will hit it, sure you will rarely get perfects that way [actually not sure, some songs i played i still got lot of perfects strumming faster than intended so i dunno?!], but it can be fun [i bassicaly just spam strum entire Retribution out of boredom]

Hopos aren't as forgiving, there is no grace period for strumming Hopos, im pretty sure 90% of the time it will count as an overstrum but generally you can still spam fast sections, and i don't see why not.

Hopos do work, but any time they are fast [The Night, all songs here] It seems the hit detection and their window dies, Mosse in his Retribution says its almost like a Hopo limit, but i think its actually Hit window shrinking for hopos, although you can still strum it [I guess like GH1 but honestly i had more consitent hopo chains on GH1's fast songs so it might be tighter]

Graphically the game is too blurry, textures suck and modelling too, Venue design is fine and like how they are Dynamic but they just look ugly, i do like the Character models tho, well except the female singer.

Setlist is great, id cut Kid Rock and maybe perhaps having 3 songs per 4 artists is too much but i like it, there is hits, there is deep cuts, there is random shit, but its good songs, and they are fun even when charts aren't the best.

But i just don't like it that much. Rock Revolution is much better just for the fact the engine is... consistent at least, and things like free style solos and challenges like Poison notes give it far more flair than this game.

Id give RR experience like a 6 overall, Powergig may be better on many fronts but actually playing it and spending time with it isn't, its like a 3, i just don't have much thought with this game, id say its still a game you should play, songs like AVH, The Night, Layla are litruelly good enough for me to warant actually considering this to play, it ain't gonna be much fun for serious play, but id go trough with it just to play some amazing fucking tracks.

Also what is the 5th boss song?
