I found this new glitch long ago that occurs on the final boss on the last stage and with the "Stage Skip" cheat activated.

Usually, perfoming the stage skip input on any stage anytime will cause Sam to perfom the stage celebration animation and thus to skip the entire stage completely.

However, due an programing oversight, the cheat can also be activated anytime where Sam can stand on moving platforms. As such, attemping to input the cheat code while standing on moving or falling platforms will result an softlock, due the game failing to display the victory animation and the screen never fades out. (This effect also aplies to spikes, log platforms, spider enemies, etc...)

One intresting scenario can be done on the final stage boss arena; If you manage to perfom the cheat while Sam is either alive or softlocked while Skeleton Rex fires the laser beam attack and hits him, Sam will die and respawn back to the level's starting point instead of retryting the fight again.
This effectly corrupts the level's graphical enviorment due the game not reloading the bone graveyard tileset correctly.

Perfoming the same bug with only 1 life remaining will also cause the continue screen to be corrupted too, showing random string of characters, rather than the usual "Continue?" text. Despite Sam and the options not loaded, you can still select it.
