Prelude - Angel's Egg (piano, & sheets by Joanna F.)
A good example of when art and music go hand-in-hand I think, since this suits what's it from very well. It's an interesting contemporary little piano piece from an interesting contemporary anime film that's open to interpretation (which is also directed by the Ghost In The Shell film guy and has character designs by the original Final Fantasy art guy ;) ). It's called Prelude but plays during the credits.
(p.s. please turn up the volume)
Heard this thing and been wanting to play it. Was looking to see if there were already sheets or if I'd want to chuck it in my ever-growing bucketlist :x Verdegrand did a lovely cover of the film's version but there were no sheets available. But later I found Joanna Falkowska's wonderful transcription of the album's version (which she also mentioned a very interesting interpretation of), which, separate recordings aside, minus the intro and extra repeated A1 end part is the exact same thing and ends up getting a nice concise ABA format :)
I've just played this with a few minor changes in the treble clef, unless there's another hard-to-hear note in the chords switching/adding these into the sheets should make it 100% accurate. (These are: m27's C to B, m28's D to E, m47's A to G, recurring 3rd chord starting from m35 C# to G# & lower E to F, recurring 1st chord starting from m36 add D# at bottom & remove C)
Sheet music (it's her work so I don't want to touch it if I don't need to, but if someone really can't access it please tell me): https://musescore.com/user/110189/scores/133254

The film's only about an hour :) Recommend watching it by yourself on a rainy day and not looking at any comments until you make your own interpretation. The atmosphere may or may not be freaky and you may or may not be confused): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgO9AzAFAX0
