OK OK EVERYONE SOOOOO HAHAHAHA welcome to the fully realized FFXVI BUT MAKE IT FFXIII concept I posted a while back, this time with 10000000% more @PitTan !!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍

I am super excited for this because as I was writing this I realized it had been a very, VERY, VERY long time since I had done an arrangement for just violin and piano, and forgot how many amazing tonal and textural possibilities that combination affords, especially with an amazing violinist such as PitTan, and especially with my harebrained idea to mash it up with FFXIII, which as you all know has just so much awesome solo violin!!

No spoilers since there are people still waiting for the game to come out on PC, but once I heard this theme in game (a version of Find the Flame, right before the L3 + R3) my ears perked up immediately for the similarity to Fang's Theme from FFXIII, in particular the piano collections version. Since I will NEVER pass up a Hamauzu opportunity EVER, I started transcribing it verbatim for solo piano, but abandoned it soon after once i realized how limited the scope was for a straight piano arrangement. It wasn't until PitTan and I started chatting on a daily basis about our progress in FFXVI and being thirsty hoes for Clive lmao that I was like omg...dude...what if we did THIS?? Really stoked she was on board for it, and having a virtuosic violinist opened up my mind to EVERYTHING we could do with this one, so for fun I threw the piano collections version of Fang's Theme under the Find the Flame melody and was like omg...this kinda works?? (With some hardcore tweaking of course lmaoooooo)

Anyways so what we have here is uh...some unholy union of of FFXVI/FFXIII, Soken and Hamauzu, Clive Rosfield and Oerba Yun Fang, idk lol, the tempo is faster the original Press On but not quite as fast as Fang's Theme, there's quite a harmonic departure from both but it's probably more Hamauzu than Soken lol, as I had to alter some of the original harmonies to try to achieve some sort of stylistic unity, as both composers have extremely different styles of writing 😂 ANYWAAAYS we loved how it came out, and we hope you do too!! THANK YOU PITTAN FOR DOING THIS WITH ME ILU ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

(I wanna say with all my heart that Fang would totally eat Clive for breakfast, but with all those Eikonic abilities at his disposal we all know that's not true 😭😭 it's ok Fang is still my queen)
