Prevent Windows 10 from Upgrading to Windows 11 Automatically | Easy Guide
Assalam o Alaikum beautiful viewers, hope you are doing good. In today's video, I will show you how to stop Windows Update from showing you Windows 11 update advertisements and prevent Windows 10 from upgrading to Windows 11 automatically.
Many people say that Windows 11 updates automatically. Basically, Windows 10 users receive a prompt to update to Windows 11, where it asks to update to Windows 11, but there is also a small button "keep Windows 10" which means you want to stay on Windows 10 and not upgrade to Windows 11 yet. Mostly, you might not notice this button, which is why your Windows 10 gets updated to Windows 11.
I will show you a few simple steps to block the Windows 11 update and stay on the current build of Windows 10, which is Windows 10 22H2 2023. And as you know, next year Windows 10 build updates will stop according to Microsoft. So, as far as I know, 22H2 is the final build version of Windows 10.
Registry Location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
DWORD 32-bit:
TargetReleaseVersion = 1
String Values:
TargetReleaseVersionInfo = "22H2"
ProductVersion = "Windows 10"
IMPORTANT: Currently, 22H2 is the final build of Windows 10 because Windows 10 might not receive any further support. However, if Microsoft continues with Windows 10 and releases new builds like 23H2 or something, you will need to update these settings or remove them to get the new updates.
