To blast yourself 20 meters in Prey you have to mimic a small object like materials you hold and blast yourslf off on of the highest platforms you can find in the game. This can be done very early on in prey. All you need to do is collect a material and unlock "MIMIC MATTER" and "KINETIC BLAST".
Make your way to the Talos 1 Lobby and walk up the stairs to Level 3. Launching yourself from the right spot on this level gives you just enough height to blast yourself 20 meters down. Just before the corridor that leads to the Hardware Labs you can find some plants and benches. This is you launching spot with a 20 meter drop. Go into the menu and pick one of the materials to mimic. Position youreself on the edge next to the plant and use kinetic blast while aiming towards the way you came up. This will blast you backwards and if you got the angle right it should blast you all the way back to the glass surface on the bottom.
