PREY 2017 Guide

Tip 1 - Remember to balance out your skill upgrades between exploration skills (like hacking) and combat skills (like weapon damage). In PREY 2017 - It’s pretty easy to over invest in exploration skills and then get annihilated in combat because your guns/powers are too weak.

Tip 2 – After you’ve finished your quests (whether side or main) in a loading area take the time to explore all the rooms you missed.
As you move through the story some doors will unlock on there own (for example- there’s a locked door behind the screen where Morgan Yu talks with you in his office) In the beginning of the game it’s locked but later it unlocks.

o Remember to not just think horizontally but vertically. PREY wants to climb up onto pipes, walk on girders, and make steps to get on top of different buildings.

Tip 3 - Locked Doors – - Level 2 hack will allow you to get into most doors. But starting out in PREY you may want to invest your neromods in other skills like firearm damage and health. Once you have good survivability and are walking death machine consider investing points into maxing out your Hacking Skill. Hacking is nice but you don’t need it to get into most doors.

Tip 4 - Using the mimic ability will allow you to get into many rooms including barred doors and check point stations.

Remember to stand where you want to object to spawn – for example – stand on the check points counter if you want to transform into a cup and roll through the slot.

Tip 5 - If possible – do side missions – you can be rewarded with neuromods, upgrades for your suit, safe codes, and New weapons

Tip 6 - Back track – as you get new powers, higher hacking skill, and more experience getting into rooms remember to re-explore earlier areas.

o For example, the first area where you get your first neuromod has a 2nd level containing multiple doors needing level 2-4 hacking skill to open.
