In 2008 UbiSoft released its new vision of the original Prince of Persia, which features new story and heroes, not connected with the original ones. The game was in 3D.

As usual, tie-in games for mobile platforms (J2ME, Symbian, BREW) were developed by Gameloft. Apparently a 3D version was developed both for Symbian and BREW, while a stripped down 2D version was made for J2ME phones.

The demonstrated version is supposed to be made for Verizon's Motorola W766 and it was released through Verizon's Get It Now! / V CAST applications' store.

I am playing this game on a Siemens SG75 phone, with a screen resolution of 176x220, the same as the resolution of the phone the game was released for. It was filmed with an HD camera phone, some additional contraptions, and (minimal) video post-processing.

It was possible to play the game with an actual joystick using Revskills - to emulate the keypresses on the phone's keyboard, via data cable, and JoyToKey - to emulate the mouse in Windows.
