This took a longggggggggg time, as you can see by my total points and stream lengths.
It's something you can easily improve at after playing a while, but around 15~20K the game starts actively sending more and more kill and troll compositions at you, and at 40K the speed is quite fast and the game wants to kill you very badly.
There's quite a few patterns to memorize and snap judgements to make, also I didn't notice until it was pointed out to me but each monster is also color coded on their square.
The most important takeaway is that it is almost always a bad idea to greed without special abilities. The +5 won't matter with the 20+ monster choice you get forced into. Potential loss almost always outweighs potential gain in normal situations.
Also you can rest on a fence for a bit to plan your next move.

The worst part is how long a run takes, and how a minor mistake can easily snowball into you being bled out of stacks at the higher speed/scores.
Also super slow starts wasting your time treading water with terrible openers made me restart runs early.
