Here I am going to show you how you can get your two first Science weapons, the Shrink Ray and the Prismatic Hammer.
Once you have repaired your ship after your first missions in Edgewater, make your way to Phineas' Lab. Enter the lab, and facing Phineas you can see to your right, on top of a small table, the first Science Weapon, the Shrink Ray.
Return to your ship, go to the upper floor to Hawthorne's room and examine the terminal. Enter to Logs and then select Hammer Power to get a lead for the gun somewhere on Groundbreaker.
Go to Groundbreaker, enter the first main building and take a turn to the left and enter the room to the right. Jump on top of the boxes stacked to the left to get on top of the beds, walk to the end of the room and fall to the other side. Defeat all the enemies and search for the Repair Hangar Keycard in the body of the Outlaw Squad Leader. Now use that keycard to open the sealed door and Voila! You will find the Prismatic Hammer Science Weapon on top of the table.
