Project Academy: Open Beta Launch Trailer
69Project Academy is an arcade racing mod for BeamNG, made for a multiplayer racing community.
This Open Beta release includes over 25 original cars designed specifically for close racing. The cars are heavily optimized and feature a reduced damage model to enable full contact racing, jumps, police chases, and more. While they were initially automation based, every gameplay aspect of each vehicle, including jbeam, force-feedback, tire model, sound, animations, damage, and more are fully custom made, all in service of recreating the feeling of an early 2000's simcade racing game.
In the near future, a BeamMP multiplayer server will go public to host racing and various events using this mod.
PA is meant to be an ongoing collaborative effort, where we continue to expand the mod with new features, more cars, and eventually, a single player campaign.
