PROJECT CARS 2 GRAPHICS SETTINGS GUIDE - HIGH PERFORMANCE VR
1,155In this video we go over the graphics settings in project cars 2 specifically looking at the settings for VR and what settings can be turned down to get good performance at minimal cost to the visual quality.
These settings will also help those of you just looking to get Project cars 2 to run faster on lower end systems !
As I say in the video many of these settings are going to be a subjective issue and an issue of personal taste, however these should offer a good baseline or starting point when jumping into Project cars 2 with a Virtual Reality Headset such as the Oculus Rift or HTC VIVE.
I would certainly say those of you with a 1080 or above spec graphics card would likely be better off running more SS than using traditional AA in order to benefit from higher clarity of image.
That said those of you with a 1070 or lower will probably be pleasantly surprised with how sharp Project cars 2 looks when only running 1.0 SS and 2X or medium MSAA.
Of the most demanding settings for frame rate exspect the following to have the largest impact on performance.
Shader quality
Shadow Quality
Partical Quality
Partical Density
So if you feel you are close to hitting a constant 90 FPS in most situations on your PC it might be worth knocking one of those down a notch or vise versa should you be running all fine and dandy !
