WHEN CAR SETUPS DON'T MATTER - THE DEPRESSING TRUTH [EXPOSED]

I cannot count how many races I have had on public servers , iracing , SimRacingSystem , Live for speed events and other one off competitive racing events where my end position was not down to being fast but down to simply driving consistently.

Setups obviously do make you faster and are important for getting the flow of some tracks and are really the crux of getting up to top end pace and an edge especially for more competitive racing.
But at the end of the day there is no avoiding the fact that you need to ether A) be born with the skills and practise lots or B) Be born without the skills and practise lots until you have some skills
I'm of the firm belief that only if you can lap consistently within a matter of tenths lap on lap for at least a few laps in a row that its essentially pointless messing with car setups , bar the very basics ( which should already be in most sims)
Simply put like a good cake CONSISTENCY IS KING !
